Municipal Solid Waste (MSW) to Energy
Millions of tons of waste is buried in landfills everyday. This is an expensive proposition and literally a waste of energy.
We can intercept those waste streams, sort out the components that are recyclable and convert most of the rest to energy.
"Hard and dry" materials (wood, plastic, paper, cardboard, textiles, etc) can be gasified to create syngas which can then be converted to electricity or liquid fuels.
"Soft and wet" materials (food waste, manure, septic waste, yard trimmings) can be digested by bacteria to create biogas which can then be converted to electricity or liquid fuels.
Eliminating waste while using it to generate energy simply makes sense.
It is logical, doable and affordable.
